Sponsored by the nonprofit Greater Genoa Business Association, Genoa’s Sweet Sippin’ Sundays will kick off its fifth year when it returns on Sunday, May 1. The event is held from 1 to 4 p.m. on the first Sunday of the month in May through October.
Local businesses host tours of their businesses and offer a teaser sip cocktail of tequila, vodka or rum and a sweet treat while raising money for local charities. Sunday’s event will benefit the Pinenut Wild Horses Advocates.
For $12, attendees receive a commemorative glass, live music and a stroll around Nevada’s oldest settlement. There also is a contest and a drawing with the chance to win $100 in Genoa Bucks.
