Task force arrests 5 on numerous drug charges

The North Central Narcotic Task Force spent the past two months receiving information on illegal activity, and as a result of completing numerous controlled purchases of methamphetamine and prescription drugs, agents arrested five individuals on numerous charges.

The task force arrested Steven Wolfson ($65,000 bail), Anthony Rinehart ($125,000), Gregory Baltazar ($135,000), Lana Vay ($85,000) and Bruce Hyatt ($50,000). They were booked into the Churchill County Detention Facility and are facing future court proceedings in Churchill County. According to the task force, additional arrests are also pending.

Those arrested have been charged with Sales of Controlled Substance, Sales of Controlled Substance while a child was present and Trafficking a Controlled Substance, namely Methamphetamine and Prescription Medications.

A task force spokesman said the agency has received numerous narcotic tips and information from the community on various individuals who are using, selling and or trafficking controlled substances, namely methamphetamine, marijuana and prescription medications in both the city of Fallon and Churchill County area.

“The NCNTF would like to again thank the community for the information received that resulted in the arrest of these individuals and would ask that the community continue to provide information that would lead to future investigations and other arrests that would help quell the narcotic abuse in our fine community,” said the spokesman.

The NCNTF is comprised of members of the Fallon Police Department, the Churchill County Sheriff’s Office and the Nevada Department of Public Safety, Investigation Division. The NCNTF can be reached at 775-423-1930.
