William Arthur (Art) Alltizer

Art Alltizer passed away August 14th, 2016 from a long, hard fought battle and complications from Parkinson’s disease.


Art was born November 20th,1940 in Fullerton, CA. He graduated from Hoover High School in 1958.


He was married to Karla Musson in 1962. They raised five children together in La Crescenta, CA. He was the owner of the Art Alltizer Co., a machine shop geared toward the marine industry. He had a love for boating and spent many summers with his family in Bullhead City, AZ.


He moved to Minden, NV in 1990 and was married to Karen Magness. His company evolved into Alltizer Powdercoating. Art was co-founder of Northern Nevada Inliners, a club that brought inline engine lovers together. In his spare time you could always find Art fishing with one of his kids or grandkids at one of the various lakes in the area.


Art is preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Leita Alltizer.


He is survived by his wife, Karen Alltizer, his sisters Joan Horne and Mary Ellen Gale, the mother of his children Karla Alltizer, and his children; Keith, Alan, Kristin, Steven, and Erin, eleven grandkids and ten great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.


A celebration of life will be held September 17, 2016 at 1:00pm. The location will be 1108 San Marcos Circle, Minden, NV, refreshments will be served. All who knew and loved Art are welcome.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation in his name at Parkinson.org.
