A nonprofit that serves children who are experiencing difficulties in life and personal, social and emotional challenges will hold an evening of music, food and equestrian demonstrations.

The annual fundraiser for Between Horses and Humans is planned from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 at Maddi’s Friesian Ranch, 310 Allerman Lane, Gardnerville.

The event will offer a craft market, raffle, silent auction, and equestrian demonstrations, as well as a catered lunch by Rafael Espinoza and live music.

Tickets cost $65 per person. Buy tickets by Oct. 7 at https://betweenhorsesandhumans.yapsody.com, or call Barbara Slade at 775-265-0901. Tickets at the door are $70 each.

The nonprofit encourages children to build self esteem and confidence by partnering them with horses.
