Homestead food drive

The Homestead is conducting a Food Drive for the recipients of the Senior Center’s Meals on Wheels program. Donations will be collected through Dec. 15

Please bring non-perishable, canned or boxed food, to The Homestead, 365 West A St.

Library wreath & centerpiece

Create a holiday wreath or centerpiece to donate to the library where it will be sold at silent auction. Donors may choose any theme or color scheme and can be based on the type of business you conduct, a favorite hobby, or whatever strikes your fancy.

Please deliver your wreath or centerpiece to the library through Dec. 7.

All wreaths will be sold in a silent auction with bidding closing at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 7.

A Holiday Sing-a-Long featuring Byron Sorensen begins at 6 p.m. The Centerpiece and Wreath Silent Auction closes at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served. Each child will receive a book to keep.

This fundraiser and event is sponsored by the Churchill Library Association. Proceeds benefit the Churchill County Library community through programs and event.

Pajama drive

Berney Realty is doing their annual Pajama Drive. Pjs are donated to the local CASA closet for children.

Donate new pajamas, underwear and socks for children ages newborn-18 years of age by Dec. 18.

Drop donations off at Berney Realty, 290 W. Williams Ave.

Track & field Christmas trees

The Churchill County High School Track and Field Team will be holding its 15th annual Christmas tree fundraiser on December 10-11 in front of Louie’s Home Center.

Sales start at 11 a.m. on Saturday. As always, the team will be selling fresh cut Douglas and noble firs from Oregon. Trees generally sell out the first weekend so don’t wait and miss out!

Concert choir

The Lahontan Valley Choir is having its Christmas Concert on Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. at the Wolf Center behind Epworth United Methodist Church. Please bring canned food items for the food pantry.

Grad nite home tour

Come celebrate the holiday season with us! Tour six homes in the Fallon area on Dec. 10 from 2-8 p.m. and get in the holiday spirit as you explore these beautiful homes.

All proceeds from this fundraiser benefit a safe and sober graduation party for our Fallon high school seniors.

Tickets are $20 each and 65 and older are $15 each. You can purchase tickets from the following businesses: Blessings in a Bucket, His Inspirations, Jeff’s Copy Express, Just Country Friends and Workman’s Farm and Crafts

An extra bonus this year is a chance to win a fully decorated 7-foot tree. Raffle tickets sold at homeowners house the day of the tour.

Choir fundraiser

The CCHS choir class Minor Details is hosting “A Ceremony of Carols” to raise money for a trip to California where they will be singing in the spring. The event is Dec. 16 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Parish Hall.

Tickets are $25 each and may be purchased at Jeffs Digitex Printing and at the CCHS office.

Fernley Hometown Christmas

Fernley HomeTown Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Celebration is Dec. 10.

Parade starts at 4 p.m. with Coca with a Cop and tree lighting after parade at the train depot.

Registration starts at 2:30 p.m. at Chamber Office. There is no pre-registration.

Out of Egypt Craft Fair

Christmas Craft Fair at the Out of Egypt Bazaar. Canned Food Drive & Raffle, 1075 Taylor Place.

Free Admission. Enjoy family fun, food, shopping and entertainment. Dec. 9-10. Friday from 12-5p .m. and Saturday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Donors will receive five raffle entries for each can donated (up to 25 tickets). Tickets can also be purchased 6/$5, 15/$10 & 35/$20.

All proceeds benefit the Out of Egypt Food Pantry & Compassion Center. Call 775-217-0507 for more info.
