Class about Christian Church planned

A class about the history of the Christian Church is planned from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Tuesdays during Lent at St. Hugh of Lincoln Episcopal Outreach Center, 4280 U.S. Highway 50, Silver Springs.

The class answers questions such as, when was the church founded? How was it founded? How did it grow? What can we learn from the beginnings of the church?

Students are welcome to prepare their own questions for discussion.

Lenten services planned

St. Hugh of Lincoln Episcopal Outreach Center, 4280 Highway 50, Silver Springs, is celebrating Mardi Gras with a pancake supper and potluck at 3 p.m. Tuesday. Its 30-minute Ash Wednesday service is at 8 a.m. the following day.

Another Ash Wednesday service is planned at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Episcopal Outreach Center, 140 Pike St. in Dayton.
