An animal adoption event that pairs people with prospective pets is happening from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Petco on Topsy Lane in Carson City.
Furry Speed Dating, a Valentine’s Day event sponsored by the Nevada Humane Society, offers a variety of cats and dogs who need permanent homes.
Adults cats over the age of three are free. Adult cats under the age of three cost $25 each. Adult dogs are $35 each, excluding specially priced dogs. All animals are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
