Kay Francis Gardner Foley gracefully passed away at the age of 74 on February 12, 2016. She died due to progressive Alzheimer’s Disease. She was a resident at Carson Valley Senior Living in Gardnerville, Nevada. She was survived by her husband, Robert Michael Foley, Bob, her daughter Jodi Lynn Johnson, her son Martin Charles March, and her three grandchildren, Brandon March, Jordan Tackett and McKennah Tackett. Kay worked at the AAA Insurance Company in Reno then later transferred to Carson City to open their new office until she retired. Kay was a member of the Carson City Quilters Club and had a hand in quilting the Carson City historical buildings quilt that hangs in the Capital Building in Carson City. Kay loved sailing in the Irish Mist with her family. Later, her husband and she traveled to Arizona in their motor home for the winters and summered in back home in Carson City. Bob and Kay were often seen riding the motorcycle around Nevada in their motorcycle group. Kay’s greatest joys were being a grandma, not only to her own grandchildren but all who wanted to call her grandma. She also loved talking about her Lord and sharing her faith with others.

Her family would like to thank the friendly staff at Carson Valley Senior Living for their love and support to Kay as well as her family that came to visit. A celebration of Kay’s life will be held this summer at her favorite camping spot. Arrangements are in the trusted care of Autumn Funerals & Cremations.
