Colo. St. rallies to knock off Nevada

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) — Antwan Scott scored 23 points and John Gillon had 20 and Colorado State ended the game on a 17-5 run to defeat Nevada 76-67 on Saturday.

Scott hit a 3-pointer that tied the game at 62 with 4:36 to play. Gillon followed with a layup and when he added two free throws with 1:14 left the Rams were up 70-62.

D.J. Fenner knocked down a 3-pointer for the Wolf Pack at 1:09, ending a scoring drought that lasted 4:18. The Rams made 6 of 8 free throws in the last 66 seconds.

Colorado State (13-10, 5-5 Mountain West) was 18 of 26 from the line in the second half, 22 of 32 for the game as three Nevada players fouled out.

Emmanuel Omogbo had 19 rebounds to go with five points as the Rams had a 53-37 rebounding advantage.

Eric Cooper Jr. had 14 points, Lindsey Drew 13 and Marqueze Coleman 12 for Nevada (13-9, 5-5).

NOTES: The Wolf Pack hosts Air Force on Wednesday (12-12, 3-8 MW) on Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. ... The Air Force game is Military Appreciation Night. Tickets are $5 at the door if you present your military ID... · Nevada’s three-game road win streak was snapped today... Eric Cooper, Jr. tied his career high with four made 3-pointers. He has scored in double figures in the Pack’s last five road games. He led the team in scoring for the third time this season ... The Pack lost the rebound battle by a season-high 16 ... Coleman is now 28 points shy of the 1,000-point mark ... Drew had a season-high 13. It was his second double-figure scoring game this season ... Cameon Oliver had three blocked shots and led the team in rebounding for the ninth time this season ... Nevada is 4-7 on the road thus far after going 2-11 last season.
