First baby born on New Year’s Day

Banner Churchill Community Hospital greeted the hospital’s first baby of 2016 on New Year’s Day.

Josiee Lynn George was born to Shylaa Albert and Joseph George of Fallon at 11:28 p.m. on Friday.

Their daughter weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces and was 18 inches long. Banner Medical Group physician Tedd McDonald, MD, was the delivering physician.

Josiee has an older sister, Jade, who is 4.

Banner Churchill closed out 2015 with a total of 326 births and an equal number of boys and girls (163). The hospital had two set of twins. In 2014, 403 babies were born at the hospital.
