Anyone who wants to learn about how to sprout seeds in their kitchen can attend Easy Gourmet Sprouting with David Ruf, a workshop at 1 p.m. Saturday at Greenhouse Garden Center, 2450 S. Curry St. The $10-per-person cost includes a sprouting jar and seeds. Ruf is hosting another workshop about landscape design for homeowners from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 23-24. The annual workshop covers how to plot a design, add hardscapes and irrigation, select appropriate plant material and more. Attendees learn how to create a new landscape or refurbish an existing one. The cost is $125 per person or $175 per couple. The fees include breakfast snacks, lunch and materials. The class size is limited; reservations are required.
