Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested on suspicion of felony using false identification to avoid persecution

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

THURSDAY

At 12:30 p.m., Juan Garcia, 27, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and felony possession of a controlled substance for sale after deputies conducted follow up on an unrelated case. No bail was set.

At 3:12 p.m., Lyle Mills, 21, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony using false identification to avoid persecution, arrest of a probationer, solicitation from driving, obstructing a peace officer, eluding/endangering person or property, drunken pedestrian and failure to appear warrant after deputies responded to reports of a man soliciting money near Highway 50 and Lompa Lane. Mills attempted to run from officers before he was detained. Bail was set at $10,415.

At 4:09 p.m., Jacob Huttman, 19, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony accessory to murder, felony accessory to robbery and felony conspiracy to commit robbery after deputies conducted surveillance on a house on the 100 block of Castle Way, suspected of housing Huttman. At the same incident, an 18-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of two counts of contempt of court. Bail for Huttman was set at $150,000 and bail for the 18-year-old was set at $3,000.

At 10:42 p.m., Kalub Solak, 18, of Gardnerville, was arrested on suspicion of a felony Douglas County warrant, less than once ounce of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, no valid driver’s license and no proof of insurance after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the 4000 block of Silver Sage Drive. Bail was set at $12,300.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
