Carson City’s Maria Teresa Arrigotti to wed John Nicholas Wehr in May

Maria Teresa Arrigotti and John Nicholas Wehr plan to marry this May at Saint Patrick Church in Jackson, Calif.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Richard and Stephanie Arrigotti, professors at Western Nevada College. She graduated from Carson High School in 1997 and University of Nevada, Reno, in 2001 with a dual major in music and mathematics, followed by a master’s in mathematics in 2003. She has served as chair of the math department at Truckee Meadows Community College, where she works as a professor of mathematics.

Arrigotti is known in Carson City for her performances with Toccata Symphony and with the Western Nevada Musical Theatre Company, most recently as Maria in “The Sound of Music,” Christine in “The Phantom of the Opera” and Cosette in “Les Misérables.”

Wehr is the son of Darrel and Lupe Wehr of Spokane, Wash. He graduated from Deer Park High School in 1994 and Spokane Community College in 1997 with an Associate of Science in Electrical Maintenance. A relay technician for Avista Power Company, Wehr is the father of two boys, Logan and Chase.

The couple plans to honeymoon in Cancun and make their home in Spokane, Wash.
