Carson City Sheriff’s Log: Man arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.


FRIDAY

At 2:18 p.m., a 28-year-old Reno man was arrested on suspicion of a traffic warrant issued by Sparks Justice Court at an apartment in the 2700 block of south Carson Street. Bail was set at $445.

At 3:15 p.m., Daniel Lewis Lease, 20, of Dayton was arrested at an address on River Road in Dayton on felony charges of Accessory to murder and Accessory to robbery. Bail was set at $75,000.

At 4:55 p.m., Lisa Cooney, 34, and David Engel, 34, were arrested on suspicion of with multiple felony counts involving the possession and possession for sale of marijuana. They were arrested outside their apartment in the 400 block of East Park Street. Each was held in lieu of $33,500 bail, but also held without bail on probation violation charges.

At 9:49 p.m., a 61-year-old Minden man was arrested on suspicion of with DUI-first and hit and run after witnesses reported an accident at South Carson and Koontz Lane. He was held in lieu of $1,500 bail.


SATURDAY

At 12:16 a.m., Garrett Hatch, 24, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after deputies were called to the Carson Nugget parking lot on a report of a subject brandishing a knife. He also was charged with possession of marijuana and having an open alcohol container in his truck. Total bail was set at $20,700.

At 12:51 a.m., a 23-year-old Carson man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first after a traffic stop on College Parkway for speeding. Total bail was set at $1,080.

At 9:57 p.m., a 19-year-old Carson woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery after deputies were called to a residence in the 700 block of Sean Drive. She is accused of hitting her boyfriend with crutches in an argument over their baby. Bail was set at $3,150 on the battery charge and as a minor consuming alcohol.

At 10:23 p.m., an 18-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of charges she tried to steal hair dye from Walmart. Her 17-year-old friend was sent home with her mother. Bail was set at $250.


SUNDAY

At 4:08 p.m., a 37-year-old Carson man was arrested on suspicion of with DUI-second offense after he was stopped for speeding at North Carson and East Winnie Lane. He also was charged with driving on a revoked license and no proof of insurance. Total bail was set at $3,715.

At 9:28 p.m., a 37-year-old was arrested on suspicion of defrauding an innkeeper for not paying for a meal after deputies were called to the Carson Nugget. Bail was set at $200.

At 11:55 p.m., a 27-year-old Carson man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery after deputies were called to an address on North Edmonds for a reported Temporary Protective Order violation. Although the TPO had expired, the victim, the defendant’s ex-girlfriend, reported that he grabbed her by the neck. Bail was set at $3,000.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
