Gold Hill Hotel hosting lecture by Storey County Commissioner Greg Hess Feb. 4

Greg Hess, a retired miner, surveyor and Storey County Commissioner, will present The Virginia City Water System: An Engineering Marvel at the next Thursday night lecture series at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 4 at Gold Hill Hotel, 1540 Main St., Gold Hill.

Hess is a fifth-generation Comstocker who has been involved in mining, surveying and construction for many years.

The cost is $25 for the dinner and lecture and $10 for the lecture only. For reservations, call the Gold Hill Hotel at 775-847-0111.
