A balloon for the Fourth: The Messrs. Gabbs, as we understand, intend sending up a large balloon from the Plaza on the morning of July 4th. It is expected that the Ascension will take place about the same time of the starting of the procession.

Street concert by Band Boys tonight: The band will play on the street again tonight, and last evening the boys were practicing with their instruments. It is peculiarity of this band that they very seldom play the same selection twice, and never unless it is particularly good.

Upholstery to be resumed again: An upholstery school will be given in the shop rooms of the grammar school or old high school Mrs. Olive McCracken, district extension agent, said today. Both afternoon and night classes will be instituted at this time. Those wishing to attend should bring chairs and materials.

The Nevada Appeal is again sponsoring its second annual Yosemite National Park trip for its newspaper boys. This trip is on a competition basis. The first eight boys to obtain 12 new subscriptions each qualify for the four-day trip.
