The Carson Blue Jays baseball team used a four-run first inning to take control in a 5-1 win against the Boise Seminoles Friday at Wooster High School.
The Blue Jays scored in the first on an error, an RBI single by Trevor Edis, a sacrifice fly by Jared Barnard, and an RBI single by Kahle Good.
Barnard recorded the win for the Blue Jays, pitching a complete game. He allowed one run over seven innings. Barnard struck out six, walked one and gave up five hits.
