Second suspect in auto parts robbery in custody

The second suspect involved in an armed robbery is in custody.

Anthony Melendrez, 34, and Jermaine Jordan, 31, are suspected of robbing the North Carson Street O’Reilly Auto Parts store at gunpoint last Monday. Melendrez was taken into custody in Sparks on June 29 at the Rail City Casino.

It was originally suspected that Jordan had fled the area, however he turned himself into the Washoe County Jail on Friday. He was later transported to the Carson City jail.

Jordan was arrested on suspicion of felony robbery with a deadly weapon, contempt of court and failure to appear. His bail is set at $100,910.

Melendrez was arrested on suspicion of felony robbery with a deadly weapon. His bail is set at $100,000.
