Stanley J. Novak passed away June 14, 2016 at The Lodge Assisted Living and Memory Care Community in Carson City, NV at the age of 94.He was born on August 17, 1921 in Czechoslovakia. His father owned a large farm where he grew up.

After graduating from a university he taught Czech grammar and mathematics. After WW II he immigrated to the United States where he became a sheetmetal worker for the Bethlehem Steel Corporation in CA.He then worked for the Navy at Hunters Point. When Hunters Point closed he moved his family to Portsmouth, NH. He retired from Portsmouth Naval Shipyard before moving to Reno, NV.He enjoyed fishing, soccer, hockey, working around his home and most of all his family.He is preceded in death by Antonie J. Novak his wife of over 43 years.He is survived by his son, Thomas (Agnes) Novak of Los Angeles, CA; his daughter, Susan Miles of Blackstone, MA; his son, Richard (Susan) Novak of Carson City, NV; two nephews in the Czech Republic; five grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.A funeral mass will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church on Saturday, July 16th at 10am.
