Lyon County is changing its business model as it deals with community development — planning, zoning and building safety. The county entered into a contract with Farr West Engineering to serve as the Community Development Director and Building Department.
Workshops are planned to cover the details of the contract and what it will change within the community development organization and to hear the public’s thoughts about the changes.
Workshops are at 3 p.m. July 26 at Dayton Utilities, 34 Lakes Blvd., Dayton, and at 3 p.m. July 27 at the Board of Commissioner Chambers, 27 S. Main St., Yerington.
