Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested on suspicion of embezzlement

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

THURSDAY

At 10:28 a.m., a 19-year-old transient man was arrested on suspicion of a contempt of court warrant after deputies initiate a traffic stop at the Highway 50 Firehouse Subs. Bail was set at $1,000.

At 1:35 p.m., a 42-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of two counts of violation of a suspended sentence warrant after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 400 block of Sutro Place. Bail was set at $6,000.

At 2:27 p.m., a 24-year-old Washoe Valley woman was arrested on suspicion of probation violation after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Highway 50 and Sherman. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 5:25 p.m., Edgar Guiterrez, 22, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony embezzlement after deputies responded to the North Carson Street O’Reilly Auto Parts store for an employee who was allegedly creating fraudulent charges. Bail was set at $15,000.

At 10:02 p.m., a 32-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated pedestrian in roadway after deputies responded to reports of a man in the road near Highway 50 and Sherman. Bail was set at $25.

At 10:08 p.m., a transient man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a dangerous weapon, trespassing and contempt of court after deputies responded to reports of a possible theft near the 3300 blocks of Nye Lane. Bail was set at $3,732.

At 10:41 p.m., a 57-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of misuse of 911 after deputies responded to several reports of false calls at the N. Carson Street Frontier Motel. Bail was set at $2,500.

At 11:29 p.m., a 32-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court and theft warrant after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Stewart and Long Streets. Bail was set at $1,500.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
