Lester O. “Skip” Hitchcock was born on July 18, 1932 in Aberdeen, South Dakota and passedaway peacefully on May 27, 2016 at the Carson/Tahoe Medical Center in Carson City, Nevada.Skip spent his childhood years in South Dakota and eventually his family moved to Long Beach, California.Skip enlisted and served in the Air Force during the Korean War and was stationed in Japan.When his time in the service ended he returned to Long Beach.Skip married Hallie Jean Williams on July 23,1955 in Long Beach. They honeymooned at thenewly opened Disneyland.Skip and Hallie lived in Long Beach California, Aberdeen South Dakota, Corvallis Oregon, NorthHollywood California, and Fallon Nevada.Together they raised three children, Jamie, Jennie and John.Skip worked in the motion picture and television business as a transportation specialist,designing and building trucks and trailers specifically for use in that business. Some of the

vehicles he built were the very first of their kind. Hallie raised their family and also worked as a bookkeeper.In 1978 seeking a business of their own Skip and Hallie moved the family to Fallon Nevada andopened Skip’s Mini Market on the Reno Highway. Skip, Hallie, Jennie and John quickly madeFallon their home. Skip and Hallie eventually sold the market, and Skip went back to work in studio transportation.Hallie traveled with him to various locations around the country until his retirement.Skip and Hallie were happily married until 1999 when Hallie passed away.Skip is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Jamie and Barbara Hitchcock of Granada Hills,California. His daughter and son-in-law Jennie and Bart Yost of Fallon, Nevada. His son and daughter-in-law John and Julene Hitchcock of Fallon, Nevada.Skip had seven grandchildren that he was so very proud of, Christina Hitchcock, Ryan Hitchcock, Branden Yost, Brodie Yost, Alyssa Hitchcock, Hanna Hitchcock and Karlee Hitchcock.Skip had one great granddaughter, Brylie Yost.We are sad that Skip is no longer with us physically but we know that he is now reunited with the love of his life, Hallie. Somewhere they are dancing among the stars happy to be together again.A service of celebration will be held for Skip on Monday June 20, 2016 at 11:00am, with a light reception to follow at The Gardens Chapel, 2949 Austin Highway, Fallon, Nevada.

Interment will be at the Churchill County cemetery later that afternoon.
