Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested for defecating in public; another man arrested on felony robbery charges

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.


WEDNESDAY

At 7:04 a.m., a 52-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of failure to appear warrant after deputies initiated a warrant service near the 800 block of N. Carson Street. No bail was set.

At 3:20 p.m., Marnie King, 47, of South Lake Tahoe was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of stolen property, after deputies responded to reports of suspicious persons at the Carson Street Arby’s. At the same incident, Brandon Benecke, 27, of South Lake was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and criminal contempt and a 20-year-old transient man was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property and disorderly conduct. Bail for King was set at $25,000, bail for Benecke was set at $3,500 and bail for the 20-year-old was set at $400.

At 3:20 p.m., David Buttler, 59, a transient was arrested on suspicion of felony indecent exposure, disorderly conduct and littering after deputies responded to reports of a man defecating on a tree near Valley and Robinson Streets. Bail was set at $5,650.

At 8:06 p.m., a 34-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of felony robbery with a deadly weapon after deputies initiated a warrant service at the Rail City Casino in Sparks. Bail was set at $100,000.


THURSDAY

At 4:26 a.m., a 22-year-old Mound House man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-second offense, basic speed, driving without a valid license and arrest of a probationer after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the Fairview Drive Lowes. Bail was set at $5,737.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
