Capital City Arts Initiative hosting artist Paul Baker Prindle March 15 in Carson City

The Capital City Arts Initiative is hosting a talk by artist and curator Paul Baker Prindle, whose illustrated talk, Museum Work: Increasing Creative Capital, is the next in CCAI’s Nevada Neighbors series.

The talk is at 7 p.m. March 15 in the Community Development building,108 E. Proctor St., Carson City. A reception starts at 6:15 p.m. Both the presentation and reception are free.

Baker Prindle will discuss how museums work to grow the creative capital of the regions they serve. In addition to reviewing some of the successful projects University Galleries has launched, he will preview upcoming collaborations, share his thoughts on how to grow creativity, and discuss how his own studio practice organizes his curatorial work. As director of university galleries at University of Nevada, Reno’s art museum, Baker Prindle develops student exhibition practices, teaches undergraduate and graduate courses, and fosters connections between students and communities beyond campus.
