Area women can take advantage of breast cancer screenings when the Mammovan visits Carson City and Yerington next month.
The Mammovan is stopping at Sierra Nevada Health Center, 3325 Research Way, Carson City, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. April 14 and April 15.
It will visit Yerington’s Paiute Tribal Health Clinic from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. April 16, and Yerington’s Scolari’s Food & Drug from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. April 17.
The Mammovan accepts most insurance plans, Medicaid and Medicare. The screenings are primarily for women 40 and older, but they will be provided to those younger than 40 who have a physician referral.
