The Carson Nugget is planning an eventful Memorial Day weekend.
A live comedy performance by Justin Rivera will kick off festivities at 7 p.m. Friday, May 27. After the show the Sports Bar will be hosting live music by Escalade.
On Saturday, May 28, Escalade will return to the Sports Bar from 8 p.m. to midnight. An ATV will be raffled off at 9:30 p.m. Another giveaway of a Toyota truck will be on July 2.
Events continue on Sunday, May 29, with a performance by Evolution, a Journey tribute band, in the Nugget’s Ballroom. Doors open at 7 p.m.
The performance by Evolution is the first in the casino’s summer concert series. The next band to play will be Desperado, an Eagles tribute band, on July 3. Double Trouble will pay tribute to Tom Petty and Bob Seger in the final performance of the series on Sept. 4.
The Alatte Coffee & Wine bar will be serving libations, sandwiches, pizza, wings and other fare throughout the weekend.
