Washoe Tribe holding event to appreciate crews who extinguished Clear Creek fire

The Washoe Tribe is hosting an Indian taco feast to thank volunteers and police and fire crews for their help in extinguishing the Clear Creek fire.

The event is at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12 at the Stewart Community Building, 465 Clear Creek Ave.

The tribe thanks crews from Carson City, Douglas County, East Fork, Sparks, Reno, Lake Tahoe and BLM for saving homes and buildings that otherwise might have been lost.
