Two Carson City businesses failed the Carson City Sheriff’s Office alcohol compliance checks last week.

The Sheriff’s Office conducted its alcohol compliance checks Thursday, having minor decoys attempt to buy alcohol using Carson High School ID cards.

The two businesses who failed were RK Food Mart, 1500 Hot Springs Road, and Bully’s Sports Bar, 3530 N. Carson St. Both businesses sold alcohol to the minors and citations were given.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office goal is to have 100 percent compliance and have no one sell alcohol to minors. Compliance checks are designed to keep alcohol out of the hands of minors, keeping them safe.
