Thankful to be here

In the spring of this year, I was involved in an automobile accident.

Care Flight was called because my condition was critical. I was flown to Renown hospital and remained there for three days. I was in a coma, had a concussion and a severe head injury, memory was non-existend and even had a heart attack. I wasn’t expected to live. But, so far, 4 1/2 months later, I am still alive.

After my stay in the hospital, I was placed in Mountain View Health and Rehabilitation Center. I was there receiving care for another four months. The staff for the most part was wonderful and I was treated well. It was clear that the executive director loved the patients and her staff. She was kind, gentle-hearted, very intelligent and committed to her work.

I was fed, bathed and went through physical therapy. I slowly gained most of my strength and mobility back. I am deeply grateful to God, the Care Flight crew, law enforcement personnel and the rehabilitation center. Without all these folks, I wouldn’t be here today.
