One Carson City business failed during the Carson City Sheriff’s Office alcohol compliance checks last weekend.

The Sheriff’s Office used minor decoys to go into 26 Carson City businesses to attempt to buy alcohol Saturday. The minors attempted to purchase the alcohol using their real identification.

Twenty-five of the businesses passed the checks, refusing to sell alcohol. One business, the Highway 50 Golden Gate Petroleum, allowed the minors to purchase alcohol. The subject who sold the alcohol was issued a citation for selling to a minor and will be ordered to attend mandatory Alcohol Server Training.

If anyone has questions on the compliance checks contact Deputy Adams at jadams@carson.org or if anyone has questions about the Alcohol Server Training classes please contact Partnership Carson City 77-841-4730, extension 201.
