Hungry Nevada Day revelers can start their day with pancakes, ham, scrambled eggs, orange juice and coffee at Carson City Republican Women’s annual breakfast on the morning of the parade.

The annual Carson City tradition from 7 to 9:30 a.m. Oct. 29 at the Governor’s Mansion features the governor and local celebrities and political guests.

The event began more than 30 years ago when a group of young Republicans was looking for a means of attracting interest in their newly formed organization. It was taken over by the Carson City Republican Women in 1982. Everyone is welcome.

The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 10. All proceeds go to scholarships for Carson and Dayton high school seniors.
