Vendors are needed for the Craft Fair & Quartermania, hosted by St. Ann’s Women’s Community and Dayton Valley Lion’s Club, Saturday, Nov. 12 at Dayton Valley Community Center, 170 Pike St., in Old Town Dayton.

St. Ann’s has hosted the craft fair in the past and this is the first time the two non-profit organizations are teaming up to create one fun event, said Jeanne Broughton, who cochairs with Heather Motta.

“Mary Epperson is a member of both groups and suggested we combine events into one spectacular thing that can be a great time and raise money for charitable causes,” Broughton said.

The Craft Fair features just 15 vendors, for which applications are being taken. Cost is $15 per 8-foot table.

The Craft Fair begins at 3 p.m., and will continue throughout the evening. This is the perfect opportunity to do some Christmas and holiday shopping.

Quartermania begins at 5 p.m. And is a cross between an auction and bingo. Hosted by The Lions, the $10 buy-in supplies participants with a hotdog, chips, drink and a paddle with which to bid. Bring lots of quarters for bidding.

Lions will donate $5 back to St. Ann’s for every vendor that’s visited.

“The primary fund raising goes to The Lions who will then donate back to St. Ann’s,” Broughton explained. This approach keeps accounting simple.

“This is a way to get people together and raise money for both groups that will go back into the community and help those in need in various ways,” Broughton said.
