Genoa home and garden tour set for Sept. 10

Homes and gardens in and around the historic town of Genoa will be showcased in a house and garden tour presented by the Douglas County Historical Society from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 10.

Tickets are $25 per person and can be reserved and paid for by credit card by calling 775-782-2555 and picked up at will call at the Courthouse Museum in Genoa the morning of the tour between 9 and 10 a.m.

The tour includes 13 historic and other sites, plus complimentary social hour at David Walley’s 1862 Restaurant after the tour from 2 to 3 p.m. Several sites that have never been opened to the public before will be featured.

Stops include: Wild Rose Inn B&B Courthouse Museum; Genoa Community Church; Mormon Station State Park; Historic Pink House; Genoa Bar & Saloon; Dake, Hawkins House & Garden; The Log Art House; Jones Ranch House; David Walley’s and more.
