The following winners of the Lions Labor Day parade have been announced:

Presidents Award: Churchill County High School Junior ROTC

Most Creative: Boy Scout Troop 1776

Best Use of Theme: Toi-Ticutta Cattail Eaters of Stillwater/The George Family

Best Civic Group: The Kerak Shriners

Best Youth Group: CCHS Ballroom Dancers

Best Automobile: The Easter Family Driving a 1951 Chevy Deluxe owned by Don and Simmie Travis. This was their “courting” car before they were married.

Best Farm Implement: Don Travis’s Allis Chalmers WC Road Grader

Best Mounted Individual: Jill Andrews of The Nevada Division - National Pony Express Association

Best Mounted Group: Fallon Horseman’s Association

Best Business: Banner Churchill Community Hospital

The Fallon Lions Club would like to thank the District 46 Lion Dignitaries who participated, the Fallon Lions, their family and friends who volunteered to help make it a huge success and the local police officers and Nevada Highway Patrol who guided and helped with the parade, the city employees who ran the street sweepers to clean up and lastly but not least all the participants and spectators who made this event possible.

For those winners who did not pick up their awards at the fairgrounds, they can call Barbara Hertz at 775-815-9216 to make arrangements to pick their awards up.
