Carson City Supervisor, Ward I, Karen Abowd invites the community to attend the monthly Walkabout, Friday, Sept. 16. The change to third Friday is permanent and will continue through the end of her tenure.
She began the Walkabout as part of her original campaign promise to engage directly with her constituents.
“There is a lot going on in Carson City, with the redevelopment happening downtown and the bypass set to finish up shortly, a change we need to continue to plan for and adapt to,” she said. “People always have wonderful ideas for what they want to see for our future, and I have also found we come up with creative ways to address and resolve issues and concerns, as well. Every topic is fair game, and we can enjoy our beautiful park.”
Meet on the steps of Carson City Community Center at noon, and take a lunch if you’d like.
