Dean Metcalf, 84, died peacefully at home in Minden, NV., on 9/13/16. He is survived by his wife Betty Mahler-Metcalf, his 3 children, Monica Vallone (Tom), Brett Metcalf (Elnette), Lisa Momberg (Mark), sister Carol Faye, 7
grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, many cousins, nieces and nephews. Dean was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Metcalf and his parents, Dale and Margaret Metcalf. Born in Kansas, the family moved to CA when he was 6 years old. He graduated from Chaffey HS in 1950 and served in the US Navy from 1951-55. He retired from LA County F.D. in 1981 and moved to Carson City, shortly thereafter, where he enjoyed golfing and bowling.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday the 24th of September at 2pm, at, 2032 Ash Canyon Rd in Carson City.
