New and Noteworthy

A Really Big Lunch: Meditations on Life and Food from the Roving Gourmand by Jim Harrison

The author of poetry, fiction including Legends of the Fall, as well as non-fiction died last year so it was a treat when I heard about this book. It is an insightful and sometimes funny collection of essays on a variety of things he found interesting; eating, wine, traveling, writing, and a bit about his family. Having been a fan for years, I will miss his books which often include cover art by a favorite of mine painter. Russell Chatham.
