Dr. Amy Pason, an assistant professor in the Department of Communication Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno, will be the speaker at Douglas County Democratic Women’s meeting May 1 at the Carson Valley Inn in Minden.
Pason specializes in persuasion and social justice advocacy, and recently taught a course centered on persuasive strategies of the recent presidential election. Her topic for this meeting is civility in public discourse.
