Socialism spells end of individual freedom
Kathy Walters, who pushes for socialized medicine in the Nevada Appeal commentary, is espousing a Marxist group ideology that destroys the individual.
In her thinking, the group — Red State — is more important than the individual. I think the opposite. The individual is more important than the state.
The importance of the individual over the group was the foundation of ancient Athenian democracy, the American Revolution, and our Constitution. The group being more important founded fascism and communism.
F.A. Hayek and other political philosophers have shown big government leads to totalitarianism, and it cannot lead elsewhere.
Socialism will destroy the paradigm of the American Revolution. It destroyed Europe and led inexorably to more powerful governments. Socialism is the end of individualism and individual freedom.
Government is not the source of individual freedom, it is the source of oppression.
Destroy socialism, and socialized medicine, before it destroys you.
