Learn how to play pickleball Aug. 5 in Carson City

The Multi-Purpose Athletic Center will be the site of Pickleball for Beginners, an event detailing how to play Pickleball, at 10 a.m. Aug. 5.

Experienced players will be on hand to show beginners the ropes of Pickleball so they can begin enjoying the sport. All of the required equipment will be on site.

Combining elements of tennis, badminton and ping pong, pickleball is a paddle sport for all ages and skill levels.

Pickleball games are available from 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. weekdays and at 9 Saturdays and 10:30 a.m. Sundays.
