Polynesian fare — including teriyaki chicken, rice and macaroni salad — will be sold for $10 a plate on Saturday across from the 3rd & Curry St. Farmers Market.

The Northern Nevada Hui Association will be selling plates during market hours, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the parking lot of Carson City Art Gallery, 110 S. Curry St.

Proceeds will help fund Carson City’s next Polynesian Festival, which will bring vendors, traditional Polynesian food, music and dancing to Mills Park next year. The inaugural festival was held last July.

The nonprofit, whose mission is to bring Polynesian culture to the region while also benefitting several charitable causes, also will be selling plates on Aug. 12 and 19 at the same time and location.
