Carson City/Douglas County Relay for Life kickoff party planned

Cowboys and cowgirls are invited to saddle up and attend a Western themed Relay for Life kickoff party on Wednesday, Feb. 22.

The event at 5:30 p.m. at Mallard’s Restaurant at Empire Ranch Golf Course in Carson City will kick off the largest fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.

New this year, Carson City and Douglas County Relay for Life will merge for one event.

The annual celebration for cancer survivors will return to Mills Park on May 20.
