Carson City Recreation’s basic dog obedience class, instructed by Guy Yeaman, will begin March 7 and run through April 11.

Yeaman will use his 45-plus years of experience to help dog owners teach their pets to obey basic obedience commands. Individual behavior problems also will be addressed.

Each dog needs a training collar such as a choke chain, Halti, martingale, and harness, and a leash four to six feet in length. Dogs must be current on shots through rabies, and written proof must be shown at the first class.

The class meets 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesdays at Fuji Park, across from Costco. The six-week program costs $80.

Register with Carson City Recreation at 775-283-7422 or www.carson.org/ccpr. For information, call Yeaman at 775-265-4530.
