Churchill County School District: Schools will open as scheduled. Some buses are running behind schedule because of the roads.


RENO, Nev. - Following an assessment of current weather conditions by University Police Services and Facilities, the decision has been made to delay campus operations and classes by two hours, Monday, Jan. 23. Classes scheduled at 8 and 9 a.m. are canceled; operations and classes will have a 10 a.m. start time.

This applies to all University facilities and campuses in the Reno area.

ASUN Campus Escort will cease campus operations and the Joe Crowley Student Union will close for the night starting at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Jan 22.

Please note that University employees who work in positions designated by their department or division as “essential services” should report to work as scheduled.

All WNC campuses are on a two hour delay today, Monday, Jan. 23, and will open at 10 a.m. Classes that begin before 10 are cancelled. Classes starting after 10 will occur as scheduled. The Child Development Center on the Carson City campus will open at its regular time.


Truckee Meadows CC will also start at 10 a.m.


Schools at Lake Tahoe, Truckee, Washoe and Storey counties, Closed
