Thunderstorms and high winds are moving through the area as unsettled area begins to sweep across central Nevada.
The National Weather Service has reported lightning over Fallon and to the east of the city.
The change in weather could last until later tonight.
Lightning has also caused several small brush fires, one near the fairgrounds. If individuals see a fire break out because of lightning, call 911 immediately.
