Man on suspicion of felony domestic battery with strangulation says Carson City Sheriff’s Office

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

Carson City

FRIDAY

At 4:19 a.m., a 21-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of obstructing an officer and drunken pedestrian after deputies responded to reports of a suspicious subject near Silver Oak Drive and Carson Street. Bail was set at $325.

At 5:39 a.m., an 18-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of battery and juvenile hold after deputies responded to reports of a fight near the 3800 block of South Carson Street. Bail was set at $1,000.

At 8:02 a.m., a 46-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery near the 1900 block of Boeing Way. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 12:34 p.m., a 49-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery after deputies responded to reports of a woman knocking a man off a bicycle near Adams and Carson Streets. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 8:44 p.m., Caitlin Hanson, 27, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, no valid driver’s license, no registration and no insurance after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Peters and Long. Bail was set at $3,350.

At 11:00 p.m., a 34-year-old Dayton woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI and driving with no headlights after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Highway 50 and Fairview. Bail was set at $1,050.

SATURDAY

At 4:06 a.m., Juventino Guitron-Chavez, 34, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic battery with strangulation after deputies responded to reports of a dispute near the 1800 block of Edmonds Drive. Bail was set at $15,000.

At 1:10 p.m., a 33-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of violation of a suspended sentence after deputies initiated a consensual stop near the 800 block of Musser Street. Bail was set at $1,000.

At 4:28 p.m., a 25-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of two counts of violation of a suspended sentence after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Gold Dust Lane and William Street. Bail was set at $2,000.

At 6:35 p.m., a 56-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI and hit and run after deputies responded to reports of an accident at the Carson Street Raleys. Bail was set at $1,500.

At 8:56 p.m., a 49-year-old Lake Tahoe man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing after deputies responded to reports of an unwanted subject at the Carson Street Max Casino. Bail was set at $250.

SUNDAY

At 12:16 a.m., Christina Gonzales, 33, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of three counts of felony possession of a controlled substance, felony parole and probation hold, felony probation violation, felony possession with intent to utter fictitious bill, possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia after deputies conducted a business check at the Carson Street Max Casino. Bail was set at $7,500.

At 2:06 a.m., a 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of obstructing a peace officer, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and violation of a suspended sentence after deputies conducted a business check at the Carson Street Jimmy G’s Cigar Bar. At the same incident, a 19-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of obstructing a peace officer, minor consuming and contempt of court. Both attempted to flee on foot, but were detained shortly after. Bail for the 29-year-old was set at $1,800 and bail for the 19-year-old was set at $950.

At 1:23 p.m., a 33-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of failure to appear after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the 1800 block of N. Carson Street. Bail was set at $380.

MONDAY

At 12:04 a.m., a 37-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of battery after deputies responded to reports of a fight at the Carson Street Jimmy G’s Cigar Bar. Bail was set at $1,000.

At 4:10 a.m., a 31-year-old Santa Cruz, Calif., man was arrested on suspicion of defrauding commercial property after deputies responded to reports of a man eating without paying at the Carson Street Denny’s. Bail was set at $200.

At 4:35 a.m., a 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of failure to appear after deputies initiated a consensual stop near Carson Street and Winnie Lane. Bail was set at $215.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
