A robotics camp sponsored by the Sierra Nevada Youth Optimist Club runs July 17-21 at Western Nevada College in Carson City.

Two sessions are planned: LEGO WeDo 2.0, for students in kindergarten through fourth grade, from 9 a.m. to noon each day; and LEGO Mindstorms EV3, for fourth through eighth grades, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Camp counselors include team members from the award-winning Carson High School robotics team. Coaches are Michelle Bowler and Scot Duncan.

The cost is $150 per five-day session. Proceeds will help the Carson High School robotics team fund next year’s season.
