Carson City Health and Human Services is partnering with Western Nevada College to provide a free community job fair from 2 to 4 p.m. March 17.
The event will be in the gymnasium of the Carson City Community Center, 851 E. William St. Veterans will be able to enter the event at 1:30 p.m. for early admission.
More than 50 employers have committed to participating. Employers attending the fair represent the following industries: state and city government, retail, gaming, staffing agencies, utility companies, home health, security and more. Resources include Job Opportunities of Nevada (JOIN), Nevada Job Connect and Ron Wood Family Resource Center.
Job seekers are encouraged to bring an updated resume, dress to be interviewed, and be prepared to complete applications.
Workshops for interview and resume preparation are being held at Carson City Health & Human Services, 900 E. Long St., from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesdays.
