Welcoming another artist to its Celebrate Us art project, Churchill County is featuring Patricia Getto’s colorful pottery.

Getto’s work can be seen in the glass case outside the commission chambers in the County Administration Complex, 155 N. Taylor Street.

Getto was born in Fallon as the third generation of a farming, ranching, homesteading family. She gained an elementary education degree from University of Colorado and taught in the rocky-mountain state for nine years.

The educator then served as an elementary art specialist for Churchill County School District and has also taught at Western Nevada College. She enjoys photography as well and is an active community member.

Churchill County is always searching for local artists who would like to share their talents with the community by displaying their work. For more information, contact Julie Guerrero with the County Manager’s Office at 775-423-5136.
