Tickets are on sale now for the ninth annual Concert Under the Stars, A Benefit for The Greenhouse Project (TGP), featuring The Family Stone and Lydia Pense & Cold Blood, which takes place July 12 at Brewery Arts Center in Carson City.

“Through the generosity of our title sponsor, Carson Tahoe Health (CTH), TGP is proud to host this event at the Brewery Arts Center as it has expanded to the point of needing a larger facility,” said Karen Abowd, TGP president. “This year, 2017, marks the 50th anniversary of Sly & The Family Stone, and we’re excited to present them as we begin this new chapter.”

The CTH and TGP collaboration marks an exciting expansion in both organizations’ community outreach.

“Carson Tahoe is committed to promoting education and wellness in our community,” said Ed Epperson, CTH president and CEO. “Our collaboration with The Greenhouse Project not only serves this mission through educational opportunities but provides healthier nutritional options for some of our at-risk residents.

“Supporting Concert Under the Stars as title sponsor coincides with our desire to see this vision come to fruition as proceeds from the concert fund this valued project.”

More information about this undertaking will be forthcoming on Earth Day, Epperson said, when details of a second garden site located on the CTH campus and overseen by TGP, will be announced.

All proceeds from Concert Under the Stars go to supporting TGP’s operations. This national flagship facility is located on Carson High School’s campus, and provides agriculture education to students of all ages and abilities, while producing food that’s distributed to the community’s under served. Operations began in Fall 2007, and have grown every year since.

Ticket prices range from $65 to $25 and must be purchased online at www.carsoncitygreenhouse.org. Tickets are available in person at BAC’s box office, 449 W. King St., or at Carson City Visitors Bureau, 716 N. Carson St., both in Carson City.

Doors open at 5 and the show begins at 6:30 p.m. There will be a live auction, and food trucks and cash bars will be available at this outdoor venue.

This evening is also made possible through the additional support of headline sponsor NV Energy, supporting sponsor Carson City Toyota/Campagni Auto Group and the Northern Nevada Toyota Dealers and contributing sponsors Gold Dust West Hotel Casino and Tito’s Handmade Vodka.

Don’t miss the fun, the music, the live auction and the vibe!
